If you are looking for a handgun with a solid reputation for accuracy and reliability, the Lorcin line of handguns would not make the list. The Lorcin pistols-of which there are four designs, the L22, the L9mm the L32 and the L380-are of such poor quality that on Lorcin's closure, the company had filed for bankruptcy to protect itself from over a dozen personal injury and liability lawsuits.
This is one of those guns that falls into the 'I can't afford
anything else/I'll throw it if it doesn't shoot' category.
These guns are made of pot-metals and are EXTREMELY cheap. Ryse download size. While
they MAY function at the range, there's no telling what they will
do when you need them the most.
If you want to spend under $200.00 on a quality gun, look at the
Russian Makarov .380 or the FEG 9mm/.380's. The Makarov is one of
the most proven designs out there and is a real bargain. The FEG's
are made by an OLD Hungarian firm and are generally Browning Hi
Power copies (or Walther PPK copies). These are quite nice for the
money.
Lorcin 9mm Parts
For another $100 you could have an EXCELLENT EAA Witness with a
lifetime warranty. These are Italian made from hard steels..very
accurate too.

Just don't make the mistake of buying a Lorcin. I'm sure you'll
regret it. It's not worth risking your (or your family's) safety.
