I am not a huge fan of director Steve Miner's work (Friday the 13th Part 2 & 3, Halloween H2O and the ugly remake of Day of the Dead Canon mx397 error 5011. ), and this creature movie is certainly one of the reasons why. It is an as stereotyped and as banal a crocodile movie as you can expect it to be, and resemble most of the other bad creature movies that you may have accidentally seen before (or not, if you're one of these masochist creature movies lovers).

To name only a few of the flaws in these movies: the action scenes are really predictable; the crocodile himself is either an ugly piece of plastic or an even uglier piece CGI. The characters are the usual stereotypes, with the nerdy scientist, the action hero, the jackass who want to capture the beast, etc. Of course, there is the usual romance between the two main characters which stinks. I can hardly think of a film that is more cliché than this one. What is even worse is that the movie is not bad enough to be funny, it is lame bad.

I understand that it can be entertaining for those looking for a no-brainer, but I had a hard time staying awake during this short film (80min). I would largely recommend crocodile lover to check out Rogue instead.
